Life in California

September 10, 2006

Yesterday was a productive day. Probably the most errands I’ve ever run in one day.

Don’t let this fool you; I’m still Queen of Procrastination. Yesterday, I was sitting in an auto shop, having my car smog inspected. Nine years and a month or so since I left Tennessee, I’m finally getting around to changing my license and registration.

Not that I’ve been in Cali all that time. A good bulk of the time I was in Kansas City, which I never, ever wanted to claim I was from. For seven years I told myself, “It’s only temporary.” Thank God it was.

Currently I’m sitting here shaking my head at the 49ers, losing to Arizona. My dog, who hates football, is sitting at my feet hoping for the season to be over already. The boyfriend is eyeing my, wondering what I’m doing. The sun is streaming through the matchstick blinds on the porch, and the ceiling fan is making its monotonous tick, tick, tick noise.

And Arizona just got another first down… Life in California.

More Dogs, More Pool

September 9, 2006

Finally playing around with the dogs playing pool images and thought I would post this one… Satch is one quick dog. He caught three or four of the balls when we were playing that night (luckily he didn’t swallow any of them…).

I’ve been a little blah since getting back from Tennessee but I’m finally getting some energy back in me. I managed to upload the rest of the Tennessee Countryside picts this week. I took quite a bit of film that day too, so I need to get my chemicals out and go a little crazy.

You gotta love the country

August 24, 2006

I spent the day yesterday riding around the countryside in a convertible — if only everyday could be like that.

As we drove up the road, we saw something odd in the distance. As we grew closer we finally figured out it was a very tall tractor riding up the road. So we rode behind him until the end of the road where we turned around (turns out we were on the wrong road…).

The rain has been good for Tennessee lately — making for some very green pictures for me.
